Crippled CATS!

What's a matter, boy? You too in - in - injured to do what your coach tells you to do ...

The basketball team has been off to a rocky start at best. They have been able to pull off a couple of road wins in a row against Georgia and Auburn bringing the current win streak to five, though. This is bringing many onto the bandwagon in the hopes that the CATS can get into March Madness and even make a run. There is definite potential for the CATS as a team, but for now they are still the walking wounded. They have upcoming road games against Vanderbilt and LSU followed by three home games in a row against Georgia, Arkansas and Ole Miss to close out February. These games could very well tell how good Big Blue will be as they limp into the tournament. Led by Patterson's inside game, the CATS have had some moments that give fans hope. But they have also been very turnover prone and sloppy for long stretches that have given fans heartburn. With 8 games remaining in the regular season, I think it will be a very good sign for the CATS to pull out 5 or more victories. I would also like to see them in the Championship game of the SEC tournament (especially since I will be enjoying the Southern hospitality of Atlanta at that time). So here's hoping that Billy Clyde hasn't ruined Kentucky basketball with his two-a-days that have injured several players that would be healthy by now. And hopefully, the CATS can sting a few unsuspecting victims in the NCAA tournament.
