Weekend Wrap-up

Friday night I worked out at Phil's. My shoulder has been bothering me a little, so I didn't go as hard as I would have liked. I picked up my new stepper, but I haven't begun putting it together yet. Saturday morning I got up early for the Kaizen Challenge. Adam and a couple of other guys from Erlanger (TEMA) were carpooling, so they stopped by the house and picked me up. I figured there was no way the presentations would be over before 2pm, but I couldn't get anyone to walk out with me at 1:30. And with the whole carpooling thing, I was kind of hemmed in. Jeff did a pretty good job of keeping things on track, so we ended up finishing about 1:15 or so. Go Tribe! The winners were announced and my team made it to 3rd place. From what I've gathered, we'll end up with jackets or windbreakers and possibly a small gift certificate to boot. I got home and watched the UK/UNC game. The first half was decent. Hansbrough was kept in check making only 1 or 2 field goals and getting the majority of his points from the charity stripe. UK still ended up down 5 at the half, but I was pleased that it was not entirely a blowout. The 2nd half started badly. UK was quickly down by a large amount and it looked like the game was over. UNC held 18, 19, and 20 point leads at various times during the 2nd half. The CATS kept clawing back, but could not overcome the 2nd half surge. They finished the game down by 9, but it really didn't seem that close. Saturday night was kind of boring. A cross between television, movies and games to cap off the long day. Sunday was the usual football madness. I camped out and watched as much of the action as I could, while keeping up to date with the rest of the league via computer. I now have a small hope of taking the passing title as well as the receiving title and maybe the total yardage title. Phil is in the running in rushing, receiving and total and it will probably come down to the last week when teams start to rest their stars in time for the playoffs. I could be seriously hurt if the Patriots decide to give Brady a break. I've already put in a call to have them check with me first. I'm thinking of heading to Marikka's to watch Monday Night Football. It was a lot of fun the last time, but I'm not sure if that was because of the Steelers or the Ravens. New England should steam roll over Baltimore, so I don't know if its worth leaving the house in this weather or not. Other than that, JC dropped off a fridge for the garage. I got it hooked up and other than needing a little cleaning it seems to be in pretty good condition.
