Patient X
Any sign of the disease must be wiped out …
On the way down to Atlanta on Friday, I may have caught the sniffles when the weather changed as we cut through the blowing rain. When we got to Atlanta, I felt a bit tired from the drive and having woken up around 5 AM. I took a healthy dose of Grandad’s cough syrup (read Wild Turkey 101), but I still felt a bit out of sorts on Saturday. With all the SEC Tournament and tornadic activity going on over the weekend, I soldiered on to help win the Cranium Championship along with my cousin Kristin. I felt a bit better on Sunday. We laid around all morning and then went to the Vortex for burgers and wings at lunch. I was tired, but in decent shape at the start of the ride home. We stopped for gas and Sonic drinks in Dalton and then I let the hammer down the rest of the way home. When I got home, I took a dose of Nyquil, 2 Tylenol PM and a multivitamin before going to bed. I didn’t feel great when my alarm went off, so I shut it off and went back to bed. I woke up a little over an hour later, took a nice long shower and came on into work. It has been a very long day at work today. I still have a sore throat which I am relieving with Halls cough drops. I also have a runny nose and a slight fever. I’m planning to go home and take some medicine before heading off to bed. More than likely, I will not be at work in the morning. So to anyone that gets sick from this weekend, I apologize. Hopefully, the large amounts of alcohol circulating among the group kept everyone well.

Will you be well by this weekend?
The alcohol must have worked... no germs left behind in the ATL : )
