It's My Anniversary

Don't have to fix that calendar I have or change my answering machine ....

On October 16, 2006 I started my career with Ryder. One year later, I'm still locked into the job and doing pretty good at it (if I do say so myself). Earlier this week, the boss man pulled me aside to let me know that I had received my promotion from Logistics Analyst to Senior Logistics Analyst. Granted its a paper promotion. My day to day activities won't change at all. I'll continue doing what I've been doing for the last year and trying to learn a little more about the other activities that are performed in our office. My boss sent out an email announcing the promotion and I had a few glowing emails from higher-ups congratulating me. All of this is well and good, but the important thing is that I get a raise starting at the end of the month. I'm still excited about working at Ryder. My boss is pretty cool about when I need to leave early or even when I come in late. The vacation time and benefits aren't bad either. It looks like I'll be sticking around for a little while. Hopefully, they'll get my business cards right this year.
