Toyota Production Game

(Remember when you post, your comments will not be visible immediately. And any points awarded will be added to the March leader board.)

I know that some of you have been worried about not knowing the trivia questions, so I’ve devised a game that runs on pure luck.

The game is easy. When I head into work for a full night, I’ll post the start of the game. There will be two points possible for each of those nights.
1 point for the total number of cars produced.
1 point for the time I clock out.

The closest person to the actual value, above or below, will get the point. On no-overtime Fridays, two points will be awarded for the number produced. Now to help you out I’ve come up with some hints as well as the answers from the last two days.

For the first point, Toyota likes to pick numbers divisible by 5, but from time to time will pick an odd number like 513 or 498. So just pick a number. If there is a tie, the point will go to the person who posted earliest. I will identify no-overtime Fridays and all you have to do is pick a production number. It will be lower than a normal number, so think about what can be made within 7.5 hours at a 53-second tact time.

The second point is also purely random. There are times when we have to stay late to 5-S and there is also the chance a machine will breakdown causing me to work late. Take your best guess. The only other help I can give you is the last two night’s numbers.

Tuesday: 470 and 3:05 am
Wednesday: 535 and 4:05 am

You’ll have about 10 to 12 hours (from 4 pm to 4 am) in order to get your answer in. Since today is the first day of the game, I’ve posted early to give you a chance to come up with some numbers. Good luck.
