Toyota goes Brokeback
I just got home from work and I'd like to relay a quick event that happened not long ago at work. It's really funny; you can laugh if you want.
I was busy doing my job and trying to keep up with the infamous 53 second tact time that Toyota sets for us, when my Team Leader came up to me and asked for my help. He then turns around and says, "Unlock me."
I'd like to interject a little thought here. In the movies and on TV, a lovely young lady in the process of seducing a young man will turn her back and say, "Zip me" or "Unzip me" as the case may be. Now I don't have first hand knowledge of this intriguing situation, but it always works out for the young man. This just popped into my head at the time of the incident. Now back to the action.
It wasn’t a big deal; Dave was unable to unlock his safety lock from his belt, so he asked for some help. The only problem was it was locked to the middle loop in the back of his jeans, so my efforts to unlock him looked a little funny. This activity caught the attention of my coworkers, who began to stare and then laugh. After I unlocked Dave, I went down and talked to Bobby and he said, “Dave did you wrong.” I said, “No. He promised to let me go home early.”
So that’s the story. Maybe it’s not so funny, but at 3AM it was DAMN funny.
